Hi, I am currently using wordpress.com to host my ecommerce site. I used to manage the website using the desktop app in my macbook pro; however, as a result of starting in this group all my computers now runs Linux.
Here’s my question, it’s safe to download and install this app from Wordpress.com and allow the GDebi package installer to do it for me?

Normally you should not have any trouble with any application on Linux. What you will need to know, however, is that most applications are essentially web-based and enclose aspects of a browser within them. What I would recommend is to have a dedicated browser for all your WordPress-related activities (I use Wordpress too) and then another browser for your everyday traversing of the Internet.
