Looking to buy a used Pixel phone to deGoogle and the description says it’s CDMA & GSM Unlocked. Is this the same as OEM unlocked? Also,should I only buy a phone that is unlocked for my carrier? Really lost here.
These refer to a carrier’s network CDMA is Verizon and GSM is AT&T, T-Mobile. That’s really all it means is it can use any of the cell carriers. Factory unlocked is what you really want. Hard to find something with that description. Factory unlocked will also work with any carrier too.
