Okay So I obviously messed up but I tried to follow directions. I changed the BIOS off secure boot, created a partition in my disk (with plenty of space). Originally, I only used a Rufus bootable USB with Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3, but later found that every time I booted into the USB version, it didn’t save anything I had done last time. So, i downloaded Mint (same version) into the partition. It worked a few days, but then all of a sudden, my USB mouse was not recognized in either OS. It’s not the mouse - it works on other stuff. It doesn’t even show up as present. I am not sure but I think there was an update in Windows. I don’t know what to do next. Start over?
