Update failed and keeps failing

Today I received an update of 464,3 mb, after updating it in Discover it said reboot which I did and it started to install until 20%, then it suddenly stopped, it said need to reboot after update, it did the OS started and then it said update failed. I continue to be in this loop, anybody got any ideas how to solve this?

Hi @Aristarkos .
This firmware upgrade just broke my system, too. (Mint 22/Cinnamon)

The symptoms were different, but, bottom line, my system was pretty much disfunctional.

I restored an earlier Timeshift system image, and now all functionality is stable again.

I will avoid installing this 20240318.git3b128b60-0ubuntu2.5.

Thanks for your reply nwarren. My system still boots so other then that this update “waits” to be installed it’s OK.

I’m going to do fresh install this weekend — not my favorite thing —, there’s something else broken sinds a couple of months and it starts to get worse not better.
