I am using Ubuntu on a laptop and is wonderful. I would like to get rid of Microsoft, but have not been able to find a tax prep software to replace Turbotax.

GNUcash is a great double entry accounting application. There might be a community around this app that can help you.

Taxslayer has been recommended…but it’s web-based.
