Gaming has always lagged behind a little on Linux but great progress has been made over the past few years.

Valheim has some similarities with Minecraft in that the world is generated procedurally and you can run your own server to play with your friends and community. Here is a site that lists some community servers:
And when you are ready to run your own server, Linode can spin up a Linux server with Valheim software already installed.
