Some times just typing it out forces you to learn to trouble shoot the cry for help

10 yr old Dell laptop… Mint Cinnamon20 Ulyana… DVD+/-RW UJ8C2
My Dad passed away earlier this yr and I brought home from Thanksgiving Family dinner 20 + DVD’s that have all the home movies… I drew the short straw and was tasked with making usb drives for my brothers and sister… Downloaded and installed Handbrake and fumbled thru the first 2 disks… got my bearings and started the production line and all was good till # 11 that I finished yesterday. started this morning and the DVD drive won’t mount. It spins up and makes the "funny noises " that means it’s reading the disk, then it stops and even though the drive is shown I cannot get it to mount…
Oh wait…BOY do I feel silly… and Dad’s up there laughing at me…he slipped in not one but two Labeled Blanks!! This is too long of a post for a “Two finger Typist” not to post…
OK I’ll shut up now…carry on…

I know the feeling! Though mine was with disks that were damaged at the spot where the file-table is supposed to be!

Also, my condolences for your father. I know the feeling all too well.
