Screen calibration

I’m a beginner at Linux, and am at the stage of collecting old laptops to practice installation on! My mind is racing ahead to future issues. Does anyone have info on screen calibration (for photo editing etc) and which calibration software and devices might work on a Linux system? Thanks for any tips!

Hello @jolee and welcome to the forums!
Basically almost every distro has a display setting that allows you to load your monitor’s color profile file, provided you have one from the manufacturer.
However, if you need more precision, you can choose one of the following color managers:
