I have Linux Mint on my Dell laptop and have had it for 1 1/2 years now. Doing sudo apt update got this:
GPG error: http://dl.google.com/linux/earth/deb stable InRelease: The following signatures couldn
't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 4EB27DB2A3B88B8B

So went to Software Source Repositories and unchecked opensuse
because the page is no longer available. Now when I do sudo apt update I get no error but I need to add a repository to replace the Opensuse one:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/strycore/xubantu_16.04//
What Repository do I add to replace opensuse and where do I find it.
Thanks

There are a few thing we need before moving on. Precisely which distro, I’m guessing Kubuntu 20.04 but also seeing references to Xubuntu?

IIRC, strycore suse repo was for an office suite, though I can’t recall which one off the top of my head but it certainly looks like there’s a typo in it.

Have you looked in /etc/apt/sources.list (file, use cat to view) and /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ (directory use ls to list)

Your failed google earth/strycore entries should be in sources.list.d under individual filesnames.list which you can use cat again to view their contents.

For a temporary fix to alleviate the errors after listing /etc/apt/source.list.d/ and seeing the google earthand strycore *list entries you can us mv to move each individual file to say “useorigfilename.list.orig” and then relocate the installation instructions and try again adding those ppa.

On a side note, google earth is available in the web browser and fully works with Brave and Librewolf so I wouldn’t add it in anyway.
As for the Office Suite from Suse strycore repo I don’t remember thinking much of it and preffered using Libre Office to it.

HTH

I have the same problem with the Mint update… no repository… can’t remember if Google Earth with no pub key came up, but I think it did … it goes wonky after a few minutes of zooming in/moving around anyway, so don’t care much about GEarth but will want to update at some point.

Just use it from a webpage in a private window from your favorite browser.

Sounds like a better option! Thx, Mr. DEPLORABLE! (Gotta love the deplorables! 8))
