I’ll take what I can get, @BigDaveAZ! ![]()
And it’s my pleasure, @Margo!
Anything I can do to help, I’ll do it. Sometimes USBs act strangely and I do have several examples of that happening. One of the incidents that has got me worried in the past is when I have an external drive plugged in and my desktop refuses to even reach the BIOS boot - which means it doesn’t even start. When I take it out, all is good.
Aw, here I am again. I purchased the BrosTrend 1200Mbps Linux USB WiFi Adapter and my Mint machine doesn’t even recognize it. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I am very discouraged and feeling I’ll never be able to get away from Windows. At this point I’ve installed Mint on several machines, but there is something wrong on each one that doesn’t allow me to use it properly. Feeling frustrated:(
@Margo I had that problem with an off brand no name USB WiFi adapter (like logitech wireless - just a plug, no antenna) that came with a machine I bought from Amazon. I finally found the manufacturer and did some digging. I downloaded the proper firmware for it and copied and pasted it into the proper folder - @vasileios - can tell you the proper folder in which to copy/download it. I hope this helps. Cheers!!
