Wondering if a VPN is necessary with Linux Mint? If so, what VPN do you recommend?
For Linux, a VPN is good if you don’t want internet trackers to trace you and try to sell you stuff. A VPN can also help prevent your system from contracting a virus or accidentally visiting a phishing site as well. Altough contracting a virus on Linux is not very likely at all, even without a VPN. A lot of people have been happy with ProtonVPN and NordVPN, but there are many and you should do some research to find the one that best fits your needs and budget.
@Jjweim , I have VPN running on my Linux Mint on several of my VPSs, at less than half of the price than the VPN out there.
