Linux mint 21.2 error /casper/vmlinuz

Trying to load Linux Mint 21.2 mate on HP Pavillion. Integrity and Authenticity Check performed and passed. Used Rufus to form ISO on USB stick. Ethcher did not recognize the USB drive. After running Rufus and booting from the USB stick, the following errors resulted. 1: /casper/vmlinuz not found 2: need to load the kernel first

Any help appreciated

Sounds like a problem with your install media.

Would suggest you re-download the .ISO, make new install media, and try installing again.

Be sure to download the .iso file from the linux mint website itself: https://linuxmint.com/
