There were a couple of posts on the Jeff.Pro Telegram channel about the Kaspersky ban in the U.S., though I’d already seen the news about it before that.
It looks like they’ll be scaling back updates between Sept 10th-29th. Then there may not be any more updates (daily virus updates) for U.S. customers. The application should still work though, nobody can regulate that. It’s just that they can’t sell licenses any more, and can’t communicate updates to their customers after that date of 9/29.
They do offer some app support to existing customers for the next 6 months, though under the same circumstances of updates ending.
I just thought it was an important topic to have an open thread to discuss.
