Invalid parton table error

I’m trying to boot from my flash drive and I keep getting an “invalid parton table” error

@vasileios might be able to help. I do not know much about this kind of stuff.

Hey @Leanne and thank you @Tacodogg for tagging me!

I believe you mean “invalid partition table error”. This sounds like there was an error during the flashing of your USB thumb drive. Before we look at it as a possible hardware issue (they do happen and some systems boot from a USB, while another system outright refuses), which app did you use to flash it?

Etcher…it booted before so idk what happened :person_shrugging:

it may have been corrupted during a premature extraction. Have you tried to reflash the drive?

It would appear that something happened on the filesystem, as @MrDeplorableUSA said.
I would recommend a re-flashing as well. If that doesn’t work, then perhaps you will need a different USB thumb drive.

Ok ty! Newbie question…does reflashing the drive just mean going through the steps of putting Linux on it with the image through etcher again?

that’s exactly correct.

Perhaps try flashing with rufus
