Installing Ubuntu on Lenovo Ideapad 110 laptop

I used Rufus 3.16 to burn an ISO file of Ubuntu onto a PNY usb drive. When booting my Lenovo Ideapad 110 laptop to my usb ISO drive, the usb drive light starts blinking upon start up, and the screen says Lenovo, then tries to boot to the usb drive again, but can’t, and then says Lenovo, then it tries to boot to the usb drive, again, on and on. It never stops trying to load the usb operating system, but fails, and retries over and over. It cannot load the USB operating system Ubuntu. What should I try next?

Hello @timothymorren and welcome to the forums!
I’ve encountered this error with Rufus before. I’d recommend you re-flash your USB stick by using the “DD” method. It tends to work when the ISO method fails.

As an alternative, you can use Balena’s Etcher at:

I hope that helps.
