How so I install a Dymo Label Printer 450 Turbo on Mint?

Hello Everybody,

I hope this is where it belongs, in Questions. I need to install a Dymo Label Printer 450 Turbo on Linux Mint Cinnamon. I have the driver downloaded, but not sure how to continue. In the driver files there is a Install file. I contemplated clicking on that, but didn’t want to muck things up.

Has anyone installed a Dymo? Newbie here, I installed Mint on my Toshiba laptop 2 weeks ago, and so far really like it. I have used the Terminal to finish installing my HP8740 printer, but still need some studying on how to use it.

Thanks for any help!

Penny

The software you refer to is available for Windows or Mac, not Linux. If you’re feeling adventurous you can test it with WINE, which is a windows emulator for Linux.

Whoa! Yes, I just might be feeling adventurous :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: ! And thank you for reminding me also, I am very new and trying to soak up all I can from everyone. I’ll let you know

Okay, so I flaked on installing WINE, at least for now. I discovered you can print custom labels of any size from the web at the Avery label site. You can print 1 label or an entire sheet. Much easier than the Connect software that Dymo uses currently on the Windows box. Problem solved
