Suggestions or direction to purchasing a laptop with Linux as the OS already? I will learn how to convert an old laptop in the future but would like to price getting one ready to go so the family has a ‘clean’ computer to use. Any quick list of basics for family use such as a little bit of office ability, photo ability etc?
Hello @EvelynK!
And welcome to the forums!
Two good companies that sell laptops with Linux preloaded are System76 and Dell. You can find them in the links below:

Indeed @vasileios - those are great options. A new option to consider - Patriot-PC.com.
A team of veterans got tired of losing their data privacy and freedom. We tailored Linux Mint 20.2 Cinnamon for a mid-range, low-cost refurbished line of laptops and make it available a decent price. Our volumes should help save people time and money - and help in a major step of getting one’s data privacy back from Big Tech. Beta units are now shipping.
