I have a Gateway NV57H and my one year installation of Ubuntu studio started to crash. I tried to reinstall it but I get the same problems returning on both the installation and also on the pre install tryout session. The symptoms are: The scroll starts working as Zoom. The keys become shortcuts. The whole top bar becomes inactive and nothing can be opened. Sometimes logging out will fix it but often not, it just returns within seconds to hours again.
I removed the HDD and did a full test on it and it seems to say it’s ok… In all the text that flies past on the screen during boot there is something saying about a 'Bug" in the bios. I can’t enter setup now pushing f2 because the GRUB menu keeps coming up without the keyboard working. I tried all night to do a Memory test but it just wont run. I am trying to update the bios from 1.01 to 1.21 but I can’t get into that menu… The latest that has happened is it won’t start at all now and gives this message… Attached…
