I made the switch to Mint Debian from Ubuntu a few days ago. Everything is working great except the fan runs much more than with Ubuntu. I loaded Powertop and adjusted the best I could, but did not help much. I am monitoring the temps (with Psensor), which are running in the higher end of the range, but not over. Any ideas on why Mint seems to have much more burden on the hardware? Recommendations and suggestions appreciated.
