Encrypt a file

How could I encrypt important data sensitive files and send them to business associates?

Hi GI,

I would use a shared public key and Thunderbird to communicate with your associates. See https://www.howtogeek.com/706402/how-to-use-openpgp-encryption-for-emails-in-thunderbird/

Hope that helps.

Thank you, I will give that a try.

@caedmon , I tried your link, I like it. However, after learning about pgp encryption and the fact that it comes automatically with Ubuntu, I chose to go with encrypting with pgp through my terminal and then sending the file via email online. Thank you very much! This has been a very important thing for me to learn. I sure do appreciate it.

One of my favorites is VeraCrypt, the other person will have to also install the program though to mount and read the encrypted content.
