I remember hearing that someone is using Drobo with Linux. Is there a dashboard available? Or do you just format for Linux and if so, how?

I used to have Drobo with the Linux networking expansion. However, Drobo discontinued their expansion (Linux based) 6 months later and terminated all support. Therefore, I bought an HP Proliant server and installed Ubuntu Server on it (and then Debian). That’s how I used to manage my system.
Nowadays, Drobo support for Linux is non-existent - therefore I abandoned the company completely. I’m now working with Synology, which runs an internal Linux OS (mini-Gnome) on its actual device.
