" CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Feb. 15, 2022 – Akamai Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AKAM), the world’s most trusted solution to power and protect digital experiences, today announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Linode, one of the easiest-to-use and most trusted infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) platform providers."
Is this good news?
I did a quick research on Akamai and - as far as I was able to ascertain - it doesn’t appear to be a bad company. They do have the diversity in their goals, but they refer to it mainly as equality. They also have an ethics hotline, as well as anti-corruption, anti-bribery, and anti-slavery/anti-trafficking policies, which is good.
If something comes up in the future, I can’t know. So far, it looks good.
