I have a brand new ASUS VivoBook TP470EZ 2-in1 Touchscreen Laptop 11th Gen Intel Core i7-1165G7 - Intel Iris Xe Max Graphics -1080p Windows 10. I wonder if I can install Linux Mint the same way I did with my old Dell computer. I want to avoid loading Windows 10 or make an account with Microsoft if possible. Would you please help?
Hey @goyoliang! Welcome!
Yes, you should be able to install Linux in a similar way. The only real difference being which key you press or hold down to get into the BIOS. You can usually find what the key is by searching the web for “ASUS VivoBook TP470EZ BIOS Key”.
Additionally, if you want to utilize the touchscreen feature of the laptop, you will want to install a Linux distro that supports it. You can peruse distrowatch.com to find them.
Thank you so much for your advice. I will try it…
