How to Access Thumbdrive on Ubuntu

I have Ubuntu installed on my laptop, I want to download the install file again for another laptop, but I don’t see the USB Thumbdrive. How can I view files/save files to USB drive?

Hello @mtnmama and welcome to the forums!
Since you’re on Linux, the process is much easier. However, if you still have the thumb drive you installed Ubuntu from, you can easily use it for any other computer - without re-downloading it.

If, however, you deleted it, you can download it from the official website. Then, you can plug your thumb drive in, go to your ISO file, and right-click on it. Then, you can select “Open with Disk Image Writer”. It will open up a window where you can select the USB from it and select to record it. It will ask for your password and that should do it!
