Been testing out various Linux Distros and installed quite a few different ones by completely erasing the previous. I’m now noticing issues with my network printer (Canon MF642) and when using KDE Plasma themes. My printer just beeps once when trying to print a test page and says it was printed but wasn’t and the KDE theme (when choosing to use the desktop setup in the theme) is not actually being changed/applied.
I’m not concerned about fixing the themes since I’m probably not going to stay on a distro with KDE themes but the printer issue is one I’d appreciate getting some help with if possible? I will answer when I can but may take a couple days of back and forth since I work long hours during the week.
My printer is a Canon MF642 multi-function laser printer and I do have the PPD file… installing the PPD did not help.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and thank you!
